THE HOME OF 'TRITANIUM'

This site hopes to follow the ups and downs of a group of blokes all the wrong side of 30 who have recently dipped our toes in the water of the world that is Triathlon and any other swim, bike, run events we can get our teeth into. This site hopes to be a way we can all discuss Tri issues and document our races, share pics and check out upcoming races etc. The group is quickly expanding as we all seem to be encouraging people into our new found world of Triathlon....which has become all too clear, doesn't come lightly or cheaply but is worth every minute and every penny!

We have recently decided to form a Triathlon Club called

Dates for 2012

Hi All, with the imminent AMG, I thought I'd put some dates down for discussion. It will be full year but that was the intention for our budding go hard or go home triathletes.

Skipton 15/4
First of the Summer Tri 22/4
Horwich Sprint 6/5
Darwen Sprint 1/7
Padiham Sprint 31/7
Clitheroe Sprint 19/8

For those who intend to go a bit further, the option of including some standard triathlons are as follows

Capesthorne Standard 10/6
Lakeland Standard 11/8

On top of that, I will be doing the Derwent Water open water 1500 m swim on the 19/5 and attempt the Manchester Great Run (10km) on 20/5. I'm also joining Iain in the Windermere Great North Swim 23/6.
Hope this gets the discussions going.

Mark

Re: Dates for 2012

Can I add last of the summer tri & Liverpool marathon to the mix, poss Manchester to Blackpool cycle, open water stuff scares me as I think I'll find it hard to train & buy a wet suit, ps i need to start playing the lottery

Thanks and Good Luck

Just wanted to say thank you for linking to my blog on your website and for your kind words about my book. Dead chuffed that you found it inspirational.

I just wanted to wish you all the very best with Tritanium and your triathlon adventures. As you are not to far away from me ( Lancaster ) hopefully our paths will cross at a race in future. If you recognise me plodding along feel free to shower me with abuse ;-)

Cheers
Andy ( Ironholgs )

Diet

As eating dark chocolate increases number of mitochondria, I would like to encourage all team members to scoff choc in the hope that it will improve performance.
